Golden Chopsticks

The Rat tricked the Ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived at the finish line, Rat jumped down and landed ahead of Ox, becoming first.  ”

This Chinese New Year to celebrate the year of The Rat we visited Golden Chopsticks.

Shrimp + bbq pork chow mein is one of my favorite dishes at Golden Chopsticks.  Thin egg noodles have a nice egg flavor and there is a strong smoky flavor from the wok.  Bbq pork is tender and full of 5 spice powder flavor.  Shrimp is tender and has fresh shrimp flavor.  All these flavors combine to make a great tasting dish.

Peking pork chops are tender inside and have a crunchy crust.  Love the mix of flavors from being fried and the sweet and slightly tart sauce.
On other visits I tried:

Fried chicken wings had crunchy tempura batter which had a mild fried flavor mixed with salt and msg.  Chicken was moist and tender.  Combination of texture and flavors was delicious.

Chicken egg rolls were good sized and crunchy.  Not as much chicken as I would like.

Won Ton Noodle Soup with duck had some pretty good tasting pieces of duck.  Downside to putting duck in soup is the skin was a bit soggy.  Noodles had a very mild flavor.  Won tons were small and had a nice pork flavor.

Staff were very friendly and the owner was dressed for the occasion and warmly greeted all his guests.
