Pacific Pinball Museum

Mari playing her favorite machine.

When I visit the bay area one of the things I look forward to is visiting the Pacific Pinball Museum.  There are pinball machines from before I was born and various stages throughout my life.  When I was a kid there were pinball machines in bowling alleys, 7-11, and arcades.  Each had unique graphics and sounds.  I enjoyed playing them all.  It awesome seeing how pinball machines have evolved over time.  I’m excited to see what new machines the museum acquires.

My favorite new ones are Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

This visit was special as I met my Yelp friend Harvey here and we were able to take a look behind the scenes and check out the museum’s work area.

We met Michael Schiess who founded the museum in 2004.  We also met his friend a engineer from Gottlieb a pinball machine manufacturer.

We played many machines throughout history until we were tired of standing up and our wrists were sore.  What a glorious afternoon.  Thanks Pinball Museum for being here for us.
