Gaia Gelato

Cold on my tongue causes a tingling sensation.  Rich, fresh flavor fills my mouth.  Sweet with a slight tangy flavor.  In my mind I see a bright orange tangelo sun ripened and picked at the peak of ripeness.  I like this tangelo sorbet better than the actual fruit as the flavor is the same but the icy texture is more desirable on a hot day.

Scent of lavender relaxed me as I was about to place a spoonful of honey lavender gelato in my mouth.  Cold, rich, creamy.  Delicious mix of lavender and honey flavor.  Best honey lavender gelato I’ve had.
Orange sorbet was icy and the bold flavor was just like a navel orange.
I’ve visited Gaia Gelato a few times and each time they had different flavors.

I like how you never know what you are going to find here as they make their sorbet and gelato daily.  It’s pricey trying out the various flavors at $10 a pint so I only visit once a month.  Each flavor has been a perfect match of the flavor it’s based on.  For comparison Dreyer’s orange sherbet has generic orange flavor which does not taste like any orange I’ve eaten.
