La Jolla Open Aire Market

And you can see them there,
On Sunday morning
They stand up and sing about
what it’s like up there
They call it paradise
I don’t know why
You call someplace paradise,
kiss it goodbye

la.jolla.2608La Jolla.  Place is like paradise.  A mile west of here the land ends and the sea begins.  Refreshing sea breeze flows over the area.  Farmers Market starts at 9am every Sunday.  Not as large as the Little Italy market but then you don’t have to park a mile away.  I love this market because you can find parking and it has the things I’m interested in.

Andre’s Restaurant

Hyman Roth: If I could only live to see it, to be there with you. What I wouldn’t give for twenty more years! Here we are, protected, free to make our profits without Kefauver, the goddamn Justice Department and the F.B.I. ninety miles away, in partnership with a friendly government. Ninety miles! It’s nothing! Just one small step, looking for a man who wants to be President of the United States, and having the cash to make it possible. Michael, we’re bigger than U.S. Steel.

Benihana 755 Raintree Dr, Carlsbad, CA 92011

Keeper of the flame

Planner of family traditions

Oh how I love thee

This Benihana and the Mission Valley location have long been a family tradition among us to celebrate each member’s birthday. We could fill up a huge photo album worth of birthday pictures. I know what your thinking, it’s the same show and the same food each time. Oh contraire I say! The show’s do vary as the chefs learn new tricks. The food is still amazing and I try to sample something new from each menu category every visit.

Bourre Southern Bistro 6523 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92115

We showed up for dinner a bit early between 4:00 to 5:00 PM. The first people arriving for dinner! Yea! Right away I noticed the piano, microphone and thought to myself, it might be fun to come back for the entertainment one evening. Hat’s off to the interior decorator. Such warm inviting tones, interesting artwork, pictures of people and pretty seasonal Christmas decorations. Very classy.
