Shamrock Irish Pub and Eatery 39252 Winchester Rd Murrieta, CA 92563

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind always be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
and rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand

Irish Blessing

This is the vibe I get emanating from this place of music, food and fun.

The inside of this restaurant has a stage, bar area and seating. Just love all of the genuine Irish decorations, classy place! No stage entertainment when we came for lunch. But I’d like to come back for the live entertainment, have a feeling it would be awesome.

Ordered the chicken apple salad with a glass of beer. Loved the combination of chicken, apples, carrots, raisins and Irish cheddar cheese with the delicious vinaigrette. Such a wonderful mixture of sweet, savory and creamy goodness. Since they have such a large selection of beer, I decided to just ask the waitress. She knew all about the beer and helped me pick out one I would like; Blue Moon Belgian White.

Really great story about Graham Judge and Mancunian Paul Little. Such an inspiration!

Miguel’s Cocina 1351 Orange Avenue Coronado, CA 92118

And you
Light up my life
You give me hope
To carry on

You light up my days
And fill my nights
With song

This place has a bright, happy aura about it, drawing you in. It’s been a long time favorite of my Mother’s and we have nothing but good memories here.

Ordered the chicken tacos with beans and rice. Every time I eat out at a Mexican restaurant the true test for me is the beans and rice. If the beans and rice are fresh, soft and spiced just right, then I know I will love everything on my plate. The chicken was very moist and flavorful with the onions, tomato bits and cilantro. The corn tortilla was freshly made and tasted mildly sweet. Could not eat it all (because I ate too many freshly made tortilla chips) so I had to take it home for lunch! Yummy lunch for me!

Coronado Cupcakery Coronado Ferry Landing 1201 First St, Suite 104 Coronado, CA 92118

Cupcake, cupcake, oh how I love thee. The wonderful scent of baking cake, mixed with vanilla and spices. Your lovely, beautiful, frosting, cascading over the top of pure, moist cake.

Poor cupcakes got tossed around in the car ride home!

The smooth, creamy cinnamon, cheesecake frosting combined with Mexican chocolate cake, melts in my mouth and warms my body, this one’s Mexican Maria. Pink cheesecake frosting surrounds the top and is followed by chocolate, cheesecake cake and chocolate chips. My taste buds do a back flip of happiness, this one’s Black bottom Betty.

Black bottom Betty and Mexican Maria are my picks this time around. Happy Birthday to me! This is the only place I buy Birthday cupcakes, you can’t beat perfection.

Fog Harbor Fish House, San Francisco

Edgars: Do you know how the ancient Greeks defined happiness?
Garibaldi: Not off-hand, but I’d be willing to bet it involved three goats and a jug of wine.
Edgars: “Happiness”, they said, was “the exercise of vital powers along lines of excellence, in a life affording them scope”.

The Tavern 1310 Orange Ave, Coronado, CA 92118

The one great thing about going to Coronado is you know it’s always going to have the same beautiful small town vibe it’s always had no matter how long it’s been since the last time I visited.

The Tavern is this great little bar slash restaurant. It is decorated with some interesting pieces. Walking down the stairs leading inside, directly on your left, is this old wood weathered piece with numerous cupboard holes. Maybe held mail at one time. Just love the open air window running the length of the upper back wall. Great for people watching.

Our waiter was super nice and really informed about the menu. Before ordering we were warned that their portions were small. Not to worry, what it may lack in quantity, more than makes up with quality! My pork belly tacos with thyme peach sauce and pickled red onion, just melted in my mouth. It went really well with my pale ale Golden beer. For desert we shared the sweet potato doughnut with bourbon caramel dipping sauce and fresh cinnamon whipped cream on the side. Such a great combination of flavors!

Just love all the little touch’s throughout, like the mini glass oil votive lining the entryway staircase, within the front sign and on each table accompanied by one fresh flower for every table. You can tell this place is well taken care of and loved. It shines throughout each person who works their and lights the place up.
