“Stories may well be lies, but they are good lies that say true things, and which can sometimes pay the rent.” Neil Gaiman I visited to see the The Uses of Photography: Art, Politics, and the Reinvention of a Medium show.
Belvedere Castle, Central Park, Manhattan, New York
The very first time I read about this castle was in The Magic Tree House book series “Blizzard of the Blue Moon”. My daughter was sitting in her bed while I read her most favorite book. The author Mary Pope Osborne magically weaves her story while including facts or places in American History. I never […]
Empire State Building
When I was a kid I read amazing facts of figures about the world’s tallest, longest, widest, and fastest things on earth in Guinness Book of World Records. The Empire State Building was built in 1931 and the world’s tallest building for 40 years. I never thought I would see it in person.
Statue of Liberty, Liberty Island, New York
Seeing the Statue of Liberty in person for the first time is awe inspiring and fills me with a sense of hope for our great country. The first patriotic song that comes to mind is My Country, ‘Tis of Thee, I recall singing this in Elementary school. Now of course I have this song stuck […]

Diner en Blanc

Apothic Wine Private Media Event at Brooklyn Girl
My early childhood was a never ending quest for knowledge. I use to look forward to when the library got new encyclopedia’s each year. Those hefty leather bound volumes had a shiny gold fringe on each page and there was that unique aroma of freshly printed paper. I wasn’t dedicated enough to read every single […]
Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, New York

It contains; garden design, plant choices, sustainable gardening, urban gardening, native flora, growing food, pollinators and birds, houseplants and composting. Think my favorite is the fall butterfly garden.
