Birds are chirping. Frogs are croaking. An eagle is circling overhead. Scent of rain fills the air. Roar of thunder comes down the mountain. Lake Wohlford is a nice relaxing spot to get away from the city. I have passed by the lake many times on the way to Valley View Casino.

Watermill Express

I like to start my morning by brewing some loose leaf jasmine tea. My Zojirushi water boiler has a timer so I can set it to have my water at the proper temperature when I wake up. Sadly San Diego has hard water so when it was time to clean the water boiler I had […]
SoCal Night Market @ Madison High School

Note: This is one of our joint posts with both writers, so enjoy! This first portion is written by myself Maggie. The cannoli’s were by far the highlight of my evening.
Fung Fung Yuen

I visited this building a few times a year whenever Hometown Buffet mailed me a good coupon. The lines were long when it first opened. I miss the fried chicken from Hometown Buffet. Happytime Tea

My first time at this mall I might have been 12. There was a movie theater back then. We alternated between the theater here and a few drive ins. It looks a bit more run down now. Where I use to watch movies I see Bargain Outlet. To the side I notice Happytime Tea.
Khan’s Cave

I was surprised to find Khan’s Cave is under new ownership. Seems Mark Sun has retired. Things seemed the same but I needed to see if my fav dishes are still as tasty.

It was exciting tasting various loose leaf tea brewed in tea houses. Now she goes on tea adventures in China where our favorite teas are grown. It’s exciting every time […]
