I remember my first apple pie at this hole in the wall little donut shop. Sweet scent of donuts wafted out to the street tempting me inside. My mom would buy me a donut if I was good. Eventually I wanted to try the apple pie. Donuts were my gateway dessert.

Fosselman’s Ice Cream Company

This is the end of our all day adventure to view Rose Parade floats. I wasn’t hungry after visiting Gus’s BBQ but I had to visit my fav ice cream shop in Los Angeles. Fosselman’s is usually busy but the friendly employees work quickly.
Boathouse Restaurant

I love watching blinking Christmas lights and the Peanuts Christmas Special Christmas Day. We open presents and eat a home cooked meal. This year we decided to try Christmas lunch at the Boathouse. They had a special menu just for today.

My first Shack Burger was at the World Trade Center Shake Shack. It was tender, juicy, and full of beef and bacon flavor. One of the best burger’s I’ve had for under $10. I was excited to see Shake Shack open across the street.

My first time was in Maui. It was hot even under the shade of a huge banyon tree. I spotted Lappert’s across the street. It was love at first sight. Colors swirled before my eyes. Frozen goodness refreshed me. 15 years later I find myself eating Lappert’s ice cream again.
