Bazille

Bazille is located on the upper level of Nordstrom.

Nice view of the mall from the outside dining area.

Nice selection on the menu.  I ordered the halibut + chips.

Halibut was fresh and ale battered.  Batter started out with a decent crunch but softened as it cooled.

I didn’t like the soft texture.  I also didn’t like the flavor of the ale batter.  It distracted from the halibut.  My favorite batter for high quality fish is at Sally’s Seafood by the Bay where the batter is crunchy and simply seasoned with salt and pepper.  Their halibut was tender and flaky and had a delicious fresh flavor.  Fries were crispy and I liked the fried potato flavor.
