The Original Sab-E-Lee
On cold rainy days one of my favorite places to visit is The Original Sab-E-Lee. I always order the won ton soup with duck.
I take in the rich aroma first. Soy sauce based soup with hints of cilantro and duck was incredibly aromatic. Egg noodles were firm and had a mild yet tasty flavor. Duck was imbued with 5 spice powder flavor. Tender and delicious.
Pork and shrimp won tons were tender and full of pork and shrimp flavor. Loved the thin mild flavored egg based wrapper. This is my favorite won ton soup in San Diego.
Staff was nice and got my order out quick. I enjoyed my bowl of hot soup while watching drops of rain falling from the sky.
