Mahalo Shave Ice
I watched the guy place a block of ice in the shave ice machine. Reminds me of Hawaii. The ice is extremely fine and fluffy.
I ordered the Local without the snocap. Pina colada flavor was much like pina colada. Strawberry was full of strawberry flavor. Scoop of vanilla ice cream was from Thrifty. Creamy with sweet vanilla flavor. Loved the fluffy ice and the sweet flavors from the syrup.

2nd visit I tried the POG shave ice. Loved fluffy texture of the tiny ice. Passion fruit, orange, and gauva flavor was delicious. Next time I’ll get it without the coconut as it distracted from the fluffy ice and delicious POG flavor.
Mahalo Shave Ice is my favorite shave ice place in town as I love the fluffy ice and the syrup is full of sweet flavor without any aftertaste like diet drinks.

I like to take photos of beautiful things like rain falling into puddles. Photos were mostly taken on a Fuji XE-2. Starting 9.9.2016 most photos are taken on a Fuji XT-2. Subsequent photos were taken with an Iphone 13 Pro and an Iphone 15 Pro Max.
So happy you got to stop by! The Food Court area is always interesting and the choices at Mahalo are great-I like what you ordered. The ice texture is not quite ‘shaved snow’, but is so complimentary for the unique flavors (and it isn’t that K-Mart Icee texture, either).
The shave ice looks so pretty. The Bob Marley or the Big Island sounds yummy. Great find Cathy!
Tasted great!
I’ll give this a try! I didn’t expect it to be fluffy and soft – I always thought it would be more granular for some reason.
The Hawaiian ice machines shaves the ice so fine the grains are tiny like snow.

One of these days I’ll have to try the Dole Whip. 🙂
