Urbn Sushi

I watched as they tore this place apart and rebuilt it.  I’m guessing there was a roof leak and mold as they had a generator powering fans drying the place out for months.

Now Urbn Sushi is new and shiny inside and out.

I started with the tempura shrimp appetizer.  Light tempura batter was crunchy while the shrimp was tender and moist.  Loved the flavor.
Chicken yakisoba was bursting with classic yakisoba flavor.  Loved the mix of flavors from the egg noodles, teriyaki chicken, and veggies.  I was impressed by how generous they were with the chicken as I wasn’t able to finish this dish after the 6 shrimp tempura I ate.
2nd visit I tried the gyoza and the bulgogi bowl.  Gyoza was deep fried.
Thin wrapper was crunchy with deep fried goodness.  Pork filling was soft and full of flavor.  Loved it.
Bulgogi was thin sliced and very tender.  Loved the sweet soy sauce based flavor.
Waitress was friendly and attentive.  Urbn Sushi is now my favorite Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood.

I like to take photos of beautiful things like rain falling into puddles. Photos were mostly taken on a Fuji XE-2. Starting 9.9.2016 most photos are taken on a Fuji XT-2. Subsequent photos were taken with an Iphone 13 Pro and an Iphone 15 Pro Max.

  1. Omg Ive been wanting to try this place since they opened. What did you think of portion sizes and prices? Are the dumplings house made?

    1. Each entree I ordered was the right size for a small lunch. Adding an appetizer makes for a large lunch or dinner. Prices were fair. You can save some money by eating at the food court at UTC but the quality isn’t as good. I didn’t ask if the dumplings are house made but they sure taste great.
