Sister’s Pizza

3603 Fourth Avenue San Diego, CA  92103

I’m usually in this area for various doctor’s appointments, so finding a great place to eat that’s close by has been on my list.

One of my favorite types of food is Italian so I was excited to go here. They have plenty of outdoor seating with shade. Street parking has been good to me twice so far.

Pizza is offered whole or by the slice. Mostly east coast style, thin crust. They also offer Sicilian pizza by the slice, thick crust. Happily I ordered a slice! It comes topped with red sauce and mozzarella. They call it Sophia Petrillo. I’ll have to say the crust brought back memories of my Grandmother’s homemade flat bread. Thick, light sweetness, melt in your mouth goodness. Hands down one of my highest nod’s of approval for a slice.

Second visit I spied the front sign offerings. Killer cobb was my choice with a diet coke. It did not disappoint and turned out to be another meal for me the next day. I like how the dressing comes on the side. So I can choose to either dip each bite in the dressing, eat without dressing or toss it all together the next day! The garlic knots red sauce was bursting with ripe tomato flavor. The perfect accompaniment for the knots.

The menu offers a variety of; beer, wine, appetizers, soups, salads, sides, sandwiches, entree’s and desserts. I’ll be back for more meals with a song in my heart and a bounce in my step.

I use a combination of my iPhone and my Fujifilm X-E2 camera for all my photographs. Just depends on where I am as to which one I'll use to take my pictures with. I love to write original stories combined with my photographs. If you'd like to send me a message or comment, please do so at; maggie@hungryones.com We just celebrated our 14th Anniversary this October 2016!! One of useful information presented in an elegant, beautiful photographic setting.
