Branch to Box

I’ve really been missing awesome tasting fresh fruit for quite some time. The grocery stores are just lacking as the fruit never gets the chance to ripen on the vine.

When I found this place on Amazon it brought back memories of my Grandmother sending us delicious fruit delivered monthly in a box. I always looked forward to getting them.

Just love the fruit map because it includes where each fruit was grown.

So I took a chance and ordered their small box of fruit. Figured the size would be good as we only have three people in the house to eat it. It arrived sooner than Amazon predicted.

We were not disappointed! Some of the fruit arrived ripe and some not, about 50/50. While awaiting half to get ripe we enjoyed the gala apples, navel orange, mandarins and pluot’s. Once the Rivermaid Bartlett pears, yellow nectarines, organic kiwis and hass avocado ripened (all pretty quickly within days) we again enjoyed our fruit feast.

Our box!

My daughter said she’s never had a pluot taste so good in her life. For me the Rivermaid Bartlett pears tasted just like the one’s my Grandmother sent.

My box was ordered via Amazon, however they do have their own website. Other items offered include snacks such as dried fruit and nuts.

I’ll definitely be ordering fruit from them again!

I use a combination of my iPhone and my Fujifilm X-E2 camera for all my photographs. Just depends on where I am as to which one I'll use to take my pictures with. I love to write original stories combined with my photographs. If you'd like to send me a message or comment, please do so at; maggie@hungryones.com We just celebrated our 14th Anniversary this October 2016!! So exciting!! 2015 A couple since 2003 and now on the precipice of this new journey, our fondest hope is this website serves a purpose. One of useful information presented in an elegant, beautiful photographic setting. Together we love to discover new restaurants, food trucks, diners, café’s, huts or where ever we find food being served. The love of artful, carefully crafted, passionately orchestrated food, beverages and let’s not forget desert, Is something we both enjoy immensely. Immersing ourselves in the history, culture and surrounding locations of our adventures hopefully leads to not only meeting new people, but making new friends, sharing ideas, listening to stories and learning something new everyday.
