Long ago I rode on the shoulder of a giant. Up high I saw things so differently than when close to the earth. A moment in time that lives on in my memory.
Now a photo in the Chinese Laundry exhibit in this museum. My parents had moved from China and that was the family business.
It was hard work. Before dawn they would carry me to my crib in the laundry and work till dinner time Monday through Friday.
The Chinese laundries have mostly closed as the first generation has died and the kids went to college and found other careers. There are many more photos and momentos. Each has it’s own story to tell.

That’s pretty darn cool to be part of the museum exhibit along with your brother! Perhaps they will add more pictures as the museum grows. Such a special memory for you, glad you got to share it. :>)
It is cool being part of the museum. 🙂
I have been searching and searching on Google to find an image of a 19th century Chinese laundry ticket.
Didn’t find one here.
Good luck on your search! I have not seen a 19th century Chinese laundry ticket.
