Going on a road trip to Yosemite has been exciting. Along with seeing the awesome trees we found lots of places to eat. Originally we visted South Gate Brewing Company as Maggie needed a beer.
Now we revisit as the food and drinks are among the best in the area and the staff are friendly and efficient.
I ordered the backyard burger. It was a beef patty topped with pulled pork. Pulled pork was tender and had a smoky flavor. Beef was tender and juicy with a tasty beefy flavor.
Very good burger.
Fries were semi crispy with a nice fried potato flavor. Might have been out of the fryer too long as they were not crispy as you would expect right out of the fryer.
House brewed root beer was sweet with a bold, delicious root beer flavor. Lots of carbonation to tickle my mouth. Among the best root beers I’ve had.
2nd visit I tried the fried chicken wings with traditional bbq sauce.
Wings had crispy skin with tender moist meat. Loved the sweet smoky sauce. Great tasting wings.
Look forward to visiting again next time we visit Yosemite.
