I love trying out ice cream joints. I planned a downtown trip and visited Cali Cream Homemade Ice Cream.
Place looks alot like Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream.
Menu had the same flavors I love from Handel’s. I bought 2 quarts to try.
Creamsicle was bursting with vanilla and orange sherbet flavor. This was one of my fav popsicle flavors when I was a kid and Cali Cream’s version is just as delicious!
Black cherry was rich, creamy, and bursting with sweet cherry flavor. One of my favorites.
The 2 quarts I tried were delicious and tasted just like Handel’s. From what I found on google it appears the Cali Cream owners were going to be a franchise of Handel’s but there was a disagreement and the place became Cali Cream instead.
I enjoyed my visit and took a photo of the old Sun Cafe next door. That was a great classic eatery. Bummer it had to close.

The black cherry would be my go-to flavor here. The ice cream looks super creamy from the pictures so I believe it’s delicious!
