    Surf & Soul Spot

I remember the first time over 20 years ago.  I discovered soul food at Huffman’s BBQ.  It was a 20-30 minute wait for the fried chicken as it was cooked to order.  It was worth it as that chicken had a delicious crunchy batter and tender juicy meat.  Sadly Huffman’s closed.  I was excited to see Surf & Soul Spot opened on El Cajon Blvd.  I’ve had many great meals on the boulevard.  This place is tricky as the first part of the week they feature their surf menu and the later part of the week they serve their soul menu.
