Soo and Maggie blog about our adventures in San Diego and other parts of the world.
Santa Barbara Botanic Garden / Part two
It’s easy for me to get caught up in nature. A new world awaits upon each adventure. When I sit and listen long enough nature begins to unfold her treasures.
This garden offers numerous attractions. I advise getting a map to discover them all or just to plan your day.
These beautiful unique creatures called Trees provide us with so many gifts, never asking for anything in return.
The promise of new blooms surrounding the flamboyant Hairy Matilija Poppy currently in full bloom.
The tree branches softly sway before me. Followed by the gentle roar of the wind.
Hairy Matilija Poppy. They say this can be an invasive species. Personally I wouldn’t mind since they are so very lovely.
It does make me wonder why don’t the Trees declare war on the very people that destroy them? You know just like in Lord of the Rings? Suffice to know perhaps they do live on in some fashion once they are cut down.
I spy a yellow beauty hidden below the trees.
This tree looked rather small in this grove of redwoods. It stood out to me, thought this would make a gorgeous Christmas tree.
Think these belong in The Shire.
The sun smiles lovingly upon the tree tops.
Branches reaching out to their family, soaking up the sun, peacefully occupying space.
Comfy wood bench waiting to give respite to weary walkers. Hi Soo :>)
The view looking down from the Mission Dam bridge and Aqueduct. Notice how the tree branches cast their shadow upon the water.
The Mission Dam and Aqueduct is an Historic landmark. Built in 1806 – 1807 By Chumash Indian neophytes.
My new lizard friend.
So much green to look upon from this bridge. Hi Soo :>)
Campbell bridge.
Reconstruction was completed in 2013.
Purple soft fuzzy blooms, hiding a bee inside.
Stunning orange cactus blooms!
Patiently waiting to bloom.
Hello world, here I am, come view my orange lovely uniqueness.
The Garden Growers Nursery is located fairly close to the entrance kiosk. What I love is how they feature hard to find plants! Rows and rows of carefully cared for beauties just waiting to come home with some fortunate buyer. The nursery offers native plant lists, references and advice!

I use a combination of my iPhone and my Fujifilm X-E2 camera for all my photographs. Just depends on where I am as to which one I'll use to take my pictures with. I love to write original stories combined with my photographs.

We just celebrated our 14th Anniversary this October 2016!! So exciting!!
2015
A couple since 2003 and now on the precipice of this new journey, our fondest hope is this website serves a purpose. One of useful information presented in an elegant, beautiful photographic setting.
Together we love to discover new restaurants, food trucks, diners, café’s, huts or where ever we find food being served. The love of artful, carefully crafted, passionately orchestrated food, beverages and let’s not forget desert, Is something we both enjoy immensely. Immersing ourselves in the history, culture and surrounding locations of our adventures hopefully leads to not only meeting new people, but making new friends, sharing ideas, listening to stories and learning something new everyday.
