Porto’s Bakery & Cafe – Burbank
Outdoor seating
Picture a golden potato ball glinting in the sun while fresh fried scent of potato fills your nostrils.
Bite into the golden outer shell and there is a satisfying crunch to it while deeper in was creamy like mashed potatoes.
Marinated ground beef , bell peppers, and onions in the center inundate the senses. This is one of the best tasting things I’ve ever eaten.
Croissant was fluffy on the inside with a thin crunchy outside. I enjoyed the contrast in texture and the buttery flavor.
Strawberry shortcake had soft + fluffy cake with sweet frosting and fresh strawberry flavor from the strawberry filling and the fresh strawberry slice on top.
Always a line at Porto’s.
Lots of food choices.Need to try a smoothie next time.Choices
Nice lighting.
The kitchen.
I’ve visited this Porto’s several times and everything I tried was fresh and full of flavor. While I have found a few bakeries that have sweets almost as good. Porto’s potato balls are the best!
Lots of cool shops in Burbank. Rare soda in glass bottles sold at Rocket Fizz across the street.
I like to take photos of beautiful things like rain falling into puddles. Photos were mostly taken on a Fuji XE-2. Starting 9.9.2016 most photos are taken on a Fuji XT-2. Subsequent photos were taken with an Iphone 13 Pro and an Iphone 15 Pro Max.
i want to come back here but will do the closer location. gotta try those potato balls again! i think we waited about 30 minutes in line the one time i went.
Just love their spicy potato balls! Wonderful pictures!
Thanks! WE should get some more potato balls next month!
I always have to get stuff from Porto’s for the Missus when I’m working in the OC.
The Missus is lucky! I haven’t visited the OC location yet.
How was the parking here? I wonder if a location would ever open up here in SD?
We found a spot on the street a block away. It looks like they are happy with just the LA/OC market.

I gotta try the one near Disneyland. It’s the only one I have not tried. I went on a weekday and the line wasn’t too bad. 🙂
