Hot.  Burning.  Tongue on fire.  Face and chest sweating in below 70F weather.  I do my best to avoid spicy food but this innocuous looking chicken pot pie did me in.  Lucky I had some emergency candy on my desk to save myself.  There was a lot to like about this pie.  Crust was crunchy and had a nice light buttery flavor.  Roasted free range chicken was tender and had savory flavors I really liked.  I noticed white and dark meat.  Carrots were tender and delicious.  Gravy was plentiful but tasted spicier than I prefer.  The other thing I didn’t like was the cartilage and bones attached to the chicken. …
