In the beginning Meghan had a tiny shop with a small window and sold ice cream from a cooler. Things have changed since those early years.
Ice cream
Bruster’s Real Ice Cream – Torrance
I had a bad feeling as I was watching the vanilla ice cream being scooped. It looked like soft serve rather than frozen ice cream.
C Level Lounge
C Level Lounge is in an interesting location. C Level Lounge shares the building with Island Prime and is to the left while Island Prime is to the right.
Valencia’s Crem De La Crem
After a day trip to Julian to get fresh apple pie we drive through Julian on the way home. One day we stopped at Valencia’s Crem De La Crem. Building appears weathered by the years. Inside was clean and colorful. The lone employee was friendly and told me their ice cream was made in the back.
Jocko’s Steakhouse
I could smell the burning red oak from outside Jocko’s. There was a line to get in at dinner time.
El Padrecito’s Ice Cream Shop
I love visiting Guadalupe as you never know what you will find. Last time I visited The Brothers Mexican Grill was here. Now I see El Padrecito’s Ice Cream Shop.
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams Yelp #PassportToNorthPark
In days past I loved seeing the eerie green glow of neon on this block. Pekin Cafe was next door and the friendly staff would fill you with tasty Chinese food. Now Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams will be a light in the dark and keep you from going home hungry.
