Skin crackled and crunched with each bite.  Delicious flavor of fried pork skin mingled with the delicious pork.  Best lechon kawali I’ve found.  Wish they had some pancit to go with it.  Jasmine rice was moist, had light flavor, and went down smooth.  Bbq pork skewer was well marinated but not a big fan of the flavor.    Mango drink was really sweet and mangoey.  Would have been perfect in a tall glass with lots of ice.

Gets hot in here.  I wouldn’t eat here during a heat wave as there is no AC.  Next time I visit I’ll have to try the roast pork.

Faye of Fayesfork.com sent me here.  Faye is wise.  This is her fav lechon kawali spot too.    Cathy of mmm-yoso has been here too.

  1. Oh the fried and roast pork here is pretty good isn’t it?! I can’t believe you didn’t try their tart vinegar sauce with the pork. And their fried chicken skins are so yummy here too (they usually have free samps of it too). But gosh, no a/c while eating fried stuff is tough 🙁

    1. I’m not a sauce guy Faye. It tasted great without it. 🙂 You should go with me then you can have double sauce!

I’m not a real fan of skin either unless its on a roasted duck or fried chicken…

It was so hot that day I couldn’t concentrate and take lots of photos like I usually do… 🙁

  2. Thanks for the link, Soo. We really like the foods available here; I stop in and buy a bag of chicken skins when in the area-a great snack. The vinegar-garlic sauce enhances the flavors, I usually eat meals “as is” and then add condiments at the halfway point, changing flavor points.

    1. You welcome Cathy! I learned alot reading your reviews!

I want to try the roast pork next time I go. I’m not sure about eating chicken skins. When I grew up people kept telling me not to eat the skin it’s full of fat and bad for you…

I’ll give you eating strategy a try next time I find condiments I like! Most of the time I like things plain. 🙂
