Debbie’s Restaurant & Pie Shoppe

I love pie and my cravings took me to Debbie’s Restaurant & Pie Shop.

I visited on Father’s Day with my kid.  Mari is doing stuff on her phone as kids do.

Meal started with chicken vegetable soup.  I liked the mix of flavors from the chicken chunks and the assortment of veggies.

Next were french fries.  Crispy with delicious potato flavor.

Chicken pot pie came with a pastry top crust.  Nice buttery flavor.  Filling consisted of chicken, carrots, celery, and peas.

The gravy in the filling was extremely thick.  Flavor was pretty good.  Better than frozen supermarket pot pies but not my favorite pie.  I would have liked more gravy as the crust soaked most of it up.  The Chicken Pie Shop chicken and turkey pie has that high gravy to crust ratio I prefer.

For dessert I tried the peach pie.  Crust had a light buttery flavor while the filling had an extremely sweet peach flavor.  I prefer this to the $5 peach pie I occasionally get at Sprouts.  A whole pie here is $14.  This would be a great pie if the crust was crunchier and the filling had less added sugar.
Our waitress was very friendly and provided great service.  I enjoyed my meal at Debbie’s Restaurant & Pie Shop.  There are few of these family owned neighborhood restaurants where I live.
Next time I’ll have to try the apple crumb pie.

  1. Nice day with Mari!

    1. She is a good kid!

  2. Omg I’ve been here for breakfast twice I think! Gotta remember to do a post. The chicken pot pie looks dry 🙁 I like it when there’s extra gravy/sauce as well. Do you like chocolate pecan pie? That’s the one I would try if I re visited.

    1. That’s cool you have visited too! I like my chicken pies with more gravy. I’ve never tried a chocolate pecan pie. I usually order apple or peach pie for dessert.
