Plaza Bonita – Tusayan, AZ

We spent the day enjoying the lovely sights of the Grand Canyon and left as the day was ending.  It was time for dinner and Maggie’s son Sam suggested a nearby Mexican food spot.  Just outside of the Grand Canyon is the small town of Tusayan which had multiple eateries.   Plaza Bonita was one of them.

Place is huge and colorfully decorated.

Chips were fresh out of the fryer and a bit greasy.  They were still crunchy and I loved the fried flavor with a bit of salt.
Ribeye steak was cooked just the way I like it medium well.
Nice char and a bit of fat giving the steak delicious flavors.
Lots of options on the menu.  Next time I think I’ll get the carnitas.  Waitress was efficient and nice.

  1. Loved all of the Christmas lights they had out, very pretty. Wonderful way to spend the Christmas holiday. The detailed artful painting on the wood chairs was amazing. I would come here again to eat for sure.

    1. Place was really full of the holiday spirit!
