Chang’s Kitchen

I look forward to eating great Chinese food each time I visit San Francisco.  There are so many places to try.  On this road trip I tried Chang’s Kitchen.

View across the street.
Located across the street from Sang Tung I’m guessing they get lots of business when the line gets too crazy at Sang Tung.

Bbq pork chow mien had a good amount of cabbage along with some very nice tasting bbq pork.  I loved the 5 spice powder flavor and the tender pork.  Noodles had a nice mild flavor.

Fried chicken wings had tender chicken but could benefit from a bit less frying time as they weren’t very juicy.  Batter was awesome in how crunchy it was with a nice salt and msg flavor.
Staff was friendly and provided speedy service.  I enjoyed the food here but it will be hard to resist the amazing chicken wings at Sang Tung across the street.

  1. Hopefully Sang Tung will be open on our next visit!!

    1. I’ll call ahead next time!

  2. So you’re not afraid of msg? It almost seems essential on a well fried yummy tasting wing.

    1. I grew up eating in Chinese restaurants so a little msg is no problem. If I ate at Chinese restaurants every day it could become a problem…
