River Belle Terrace + Edelweiss Snacks – Disneyland

There are many food choices at Disneyland.  We decided to splurge and try River Belle Terrace the fanciest spot I’ve eaten at in Disneyland.  Decor made me think I was eating at a fancy plantation owners dinner party.

Beef short rib was $27 for a small sized piece of beef.  Savory sauce dripped on the beef was delicious.  Unfortunately the beef was over cooked.

Crust was carbonized all around.  I ate the middle part which had good flavor but dry.  I suspect we visited on the chef’s day off as this dish would have been excellent with maybe 10 minutes less cook time.  Tater tots were crunchy and tasted great.  Service was very good.

I have never eaten a giant smoked turkey leg before although I have seen them many times at the county fair.  My friend Steve wanted one for dinner so I figured I’d try one too.
So we went to Edelweiss Snacks which is located near the Matterhorn.  After you make your purchase you have to find a place to eat.  A table is really helpful.  A knife and fork would be helpful too but they don’t offer silverware/plasticware.
Your choices are to eater bite the meat off the turkey leg or pull pieces off with your fingers.  The leg is huge and more than one person can eat unless you are starving and are good at getting your money’s worth at buffets.  Smoked turkey drumstick was tender and moist.  I liked the smoky flavor of the turkey.  I’d be willing to eat half a turkey leg but the entire leg is just too much meat.

  1. The turkey leg looks delicious! It’s really weird they don’t provide a fork at least. The River Bell Terrace pictures are lovely. I like the architectural design.

  2. All they had was napkins and they were needed as it got messy.
