Bright neon sign and the promise of bbq brought me here. Place was big and there were a good number of people eating here.
All good signs. I was looking forward to trying a new bbq place.
Baby back ribs looked like they were grilled and tossed in sauce. The thinest part of the ribs were a bit overcooked and hard and chewy. Most of the flavor was from the sweet sauce which I liked.
Chicken from the bbq combo was tender and juicy except the wing was a bit overcooked and crunchy.
French fries were greasy and had big potato flavor.
Texas Crispy Wings were big and meaty. Batter looked like southern style but the flavor was missing something. Still they are my fav menu item here.
Complimentary cupcakes were a nice treat. I liked the vanilla cake and the sweet frosting.
Customer service is very good here as they had people just waiting for someone to need something. While I liked the food better than your standard chain restaurant Virgil’s is my fav bbq spot in town.
